If a receptionist in Los Angeles is busy, the call can be routed to a receptionist in New York that’s available. The New York receptionist can route the calls within the Los Angeles facility as if he or she were in the building.

With iTel Bulk Phone service, your residents get one-price unlimited calling within the United States, as well as to Canada and 15 other countries around the world. Along with every calling feature, we include a conference feature that will allow residents to speak with their entire family at the same time. Cable service includes local channels and is supplied at below-market rates. Internet access will be available wirelessly throughout the facility, and residents will be able to use the senior-friendly computer service provided by our partner, Pointer Software, making communicating with family via the internet as easy as possible.

One of a new resident’s greatest fears in moving into a retirement community is that they will lose contact with their friends and family. They see their phone number as part of their identity, as their contact point, and as a medium those old friends will use to try to reach them. Keep Your Residents Informed
Custom IVR’s can interact with residents and inform them of everything from the day’s meal plan to upcoming events; responses can be logged and made available to staff. A property-wide news channel can provide another easy way for residents to stay informed and connected. Additional in-house channels can show programming produced by facility staff and residents, i.e. talent shows, biographies, craft shows, and food and cooking programs.

Transition to iTel Services

Telephone Line Transition

Step One
Managers will make a list of current residents’ phone numbers and gather recent phone bills from each resident. We require that a Letter of Authorization be completed by each resident in facilities that do not currently provide their residents with service.

Step Two
System hardware will be delivered to each facility, and iTel staff will come to install all necessary equipment in preparation for the migration of resident services. Staff members will be trained on the features of the phone system and learn how to program and access voicemail.

Step Three
A changeover date will be established for each home and relayed to the manager. On this day, the service at each facility will switch seamlessly to iTel service with less than 15 minutes of downtime.

New Residents
New residents moving into the facility can bring their current phone number with them, regardless of where they previously resided. We will train your managers to assist residents in setting up forwarding to a temporary number in the facility so no calls will be missed during the porting process. We will need a current phone bill and a completed Letter of Authorization to port their number from their previous provider. This number transition process typically takes 10 days. iTel staff will be available at all times throughout the process.

Cable TV Transition

Step One
Provide iTel with a copy of your current bulk contract. If you do not currently have a Bulk contract, proceed to Step Two.

Step Two
We will provide you with significant volume discounts to lower your TV costs. If necessary, we will build a satellite head end on-site to further reduce costs, or to provide service in areas where cable infrastructure is not currently available.
